Driven, hands-on real estate representation with a patient, straightforward approach to helping Tampa buyers and sellers make important decisions.
Talk to NikolaNikola Slavik is a Tampa Realtor with RE/MAX Champions who works with home buyers and sellers throughout Tampa, with a particular focus on Carrollwood, Westchase and Citrus Park.
His approach to real estate is built around something simple: understand what the client is actually trying to accomplish, give them useful information, communicate clearly and work hard on their behalf.
Nikola enjoys working with both buyers and sellers. That includes first-time buyers learning the process, homeowners preparing to sell, people relocating, clients moving into a different stage of life and those considering higher-end properties.
He does not believe good representation requires becoming a pushy salesperson. Clients should understand their options and feel comfortable making their own decisions. Nikola’s role is to bring market knowledge, strategy, communication and effort to that decision.
Originally from Prague, Czech Republic, Nikola came to the United States with a background in competitive tennis. He played both professional and collegiate tennis before earning his bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Bethel University.
Competitive sports taught him discipline, preparation, persistence and how to perform when something important is on the line. Those qualities translate naturally into real estate, where clients need someone willing to prepare carefully, communicate consistently and keep working when a transaction becomes difficult.
His European background also influences his preference for a straightforward, personal approach: less noise, less unnecessary salesmanship and more focus on the decision in front of the client.
Buying or selling starts with understanding the client’s goals, priorities, concerns and timeline—not forcing everyone into the same process.
Nikola wants clients to understand what they are considering, whether that involves a home’s value, an offer, a listing strategy or a transaction issue.
Real estate can become complicated after a contract is signed. Hands-on representation means remaining engaged through the details rather than disappearing once the easy part is over.
Clients should know what is happening, what needs attention and when a decision needs to be made.
The goal is not simply to “win” an argument. It is to understand the client’s priorities and negotiate the price, terms and transaction around those goals.
Nikola wants the client to make the right real estate decision for their situation, even when that means slowing down, asking more questions or reconsidering the next move.
“Work hard. Communicate clearly. Stay involved. Put the client’s goals ahead of the sale.”

Real estate is Nikola’s profession, but it is not his entire identity. Outside of work, he values family, travel, animals and his faith.
His international background and years in competitive sports have given him an appreciation for different people, perspectives and goals. That carries into the way he works with clients: listen, understand what matters and then get to work.
